About Ripple Verse Gallery

Ripple Verse Gallery is a nomadic contemporary art project and curatorial platform in London, dedicated to identifying, incubating, and contextualising the defining artistic voices of tomorrow.

We work with the strongest graduates from London's leading art schools right at the point where they leave education and enter the art world. Rather than working from one fixed space, we make each exhibition in various London venues and show our artists at London Art Fair, pairing the focus of a dedicated exhibition with visibility in the wider market. We give them their first real platform: the shows, the critical context, and the collector relationships that turn a degree show into a career.

Our Signature Format: Dual Solo

Every Ripple Verse exhibition pair two artists under one theme, each given the full space and weight of a solo show. Placed side by side, the two practices sharpen each other: shared ideas surface, different angles to a common question become visible, and viewers get a richer way into the work than a single-artist show allows.

For the artists, it's a chance to test new work against another voice while their practice is still forming. For collectors and curators, it's a more informed way into emerging art. Bakhtin's idea of dialogism holds that meaning is never made alone, it takes shape in relation to another voice.

Dual Solo puts that to work: each artist's decisions read differently once set beside someone else's, and the space between the two becomes as informative as practice on its own.

Beyond the Exhibition: Film and Conversation

Every artist we work with sits down for a filmed, in-depth interview, so you can hear them talk about their practice in their own words, not just see the work but understand where it comes from.

Alongside our exhibitions, we host talks that bring in voices from beyond the visual art world, other cultural scenes and disciplines, putting each artist's work into a wider conversation rather than a purely commercial one.

How We Choose: A Disciplined Process

Backing emerging art is a risk by nature. We can't remove that risk, but we try to make it a considered one. Before taking on an artist, we look at:

• Technical and material proficiency — do they fully control the medium they've chosen, and does that choice serve the idea?

• Artistic evolution — is the thinking behind the work still developing, with a clear line from where they started to where they are now?

• Market and institutional readiness — are the work and the artist prepared for critical and commercial attention?

• Commitment to practice — is this a lasting vocation, not a single strong body of work?

Founder and Managing Director: Na An (Anna)

Ripple Verse was founded by Na An, known as Anna, whose path to curation runs through both a background in STEM and a decade spent collecting art herself: a combination that shows in the gallery's disciplined, evidence-based approach to curation.

She holds two master’s degrees in art related courses: Art Business from the Sotheby's Institute of Art, and Culture, Criticism, and Curation from Central Saint Martins (UAL), alongside further research in Curatorial Theories at Goldsmiths College. Having lived and worked across China, the United States, and the UK, she brings a curatorial perspective genuinely shaped by cross-cultural exchange and a working knowledge of how different art markets operate.
